Festival Preview: Standon Calling 2016

Standon Calling is a small music festival which celebrates it’s 11th birthday this weekend (between the 29th and 31st; entry on the 28th is also available), hosting what is quite possibly it’s best lineup yet.

This year, the likes of The Hives, Suede, Blood Red Shoes, and Swim Deep are set to grace the main stage — and that’s on the first day alone.

Across the weekend acts including Everything Everything, Blossoms, Yak, Declan McKenna, The Amazons, Inheaven, Fronteers, Clean Cut Kid, The Hunna and Flyte will also be performing.

Saturday’s headliner is Jess Glynne, whist Kelis is set to bring the festival to a close on the Sunday.

I’ll be heading to Standon via train on Thursday (28th) to arrive in time for Standon Calling‘s The Welcome Feast (5:00pm), which will feature pre-festival music, activities, and (lots of) food.

We’re really excited to be covering this truly fantastic festival, and we can’t wait to photograph and review it.
