The Stone Roses are back on the road!

The Stone Roses have announced three UK dates for June 2017. The bands last UK shows were back in June and July 2016 where they played 4 dates at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and a headline slot at T in the Park Festival.

Speculation of the news rose a couple of weeks ago with a very reliable journalist tweeting about possible big news for The Stone Roses. Today, at around 4:15, images of The Roses famous lemon symbol appeared on the screens at Wembley Stadium, prompting news was imminent about a show. Then, at 6pm the news was broken by The Roses official twitter account, tweeting a tour poster for three dates scheduled for June 2017.

The news of the shows has also increased the anticipation for their first full length album since 1994’s ‘The Second Coming’. The band have since released two singles ‘All For One’ and ‘Beautiful Thing’ which were released earlier this year. Hopefully this is the indication that The Roses are back for good, and with this trio of dates, we could see yet more new music in the near future, from a band who are truly adored.

Tickets for the shows will go on sale this Friday (30th September) at 9.30am. Links for  tickets are below:

13th June SSE Arena, Belfast
17th June Wembley Stadium, London
24th June Hampden park, Glasgow
