The new EP from Buckinghamshire’s Amber Bain is a rebirth for The Japanese House and is set to be released on November 11th via Dirty Hit Records.
Coming out as a diamond in the rough last year, following stage and camera frights, this year has seen Amber embracing arena stages alongside The 1975 and Wolf Alice and finding faith in herself.
The title-track, and second single from upcoming EP is a fuzzy blend of Radiohead with a pinch of Bon Iver. George from The 1975 handled the production side of the track (no biggie!).
The self-proclaimed ‘favourite track from the EP’ is a shimmering, synth filled and beautifully percussioned track, carried by the impeccable vocals of Bain.
The track to me, is extremely reminiscent of In Rainbows era Radiohead, of which the front woman has said is one of her favourite albums and most influential pieces.
The new track works to emphasise Amber’s potent potential and her subdued approach.
