RIP WEEZER 1992-2017
Weezer have shared a brand new pop track entitled Feels Like Summer and to be honest, it sounds equally as trash as Twenty One Pilots. I wish it felt like summer, like the Weezer that have dominated the sounds of the summer for the past two decades, but sadly they have gone downhill with this one. The new single came alongside a massive EU/UK tour announcement, and I can't deny that I am very tempted to attend, as The Blue Album and Pinkerton are easily two of my favourite albums of all time.
The new track is the first offering from the band's upcoming ELEVENTH and yet to be titled album, which will follow 2016's The White Album. Don't let it's title and jumpy instrumentation fool you, the lyricism is surprisingly dark as Rivers sings about the tragic passing of a former loved one. We all know how amazing a band Weezer are, so all jokes aside we must remain hopeful for what's in store.
The band are currently in Texas for SXSW and will embark on various festival dates across the US and then a headline tour in Canada before stopping off throughout Europe in October.
