Halifax trio, The Orielles’, have released their second single on the Heavenly Records label.
‘I Only Bought It For The Bottle’ is laden with infectious indie-pop hooks and is a colourful single from a band who seem to produce certified bangers.
Not as long in length as the predecessor ‘Sugar Tastes Like Salt’, but it is a more diverse offering from the southern English indie rockers.
The trippy and almost psychedelic guitar riffs grab you immediately, with its modern twist on jangly guitar mixed with a stomping-yet-subtle drum beat, it makes for a great uplifting song that will definitely go down well this summer.
The Orielles play Night and Day Cafe on Saturday, July 8.
