Wolf Alice are back and I’ve never been so excited for a band to make their comeback in a very long time. After taking six months off to focus on writing and producing some new material for us, they have come back angrier and better than ever. Annie Mac premiered ‘Yuk Foo’ on Radio 1 today and it’s probably the most angriest and ferocious song you will hear today but we can only embrace their new found confidence in being able to produce heavier riffs and some deep-cutting vocals.
Front-Woman, Ellie Rowsell presents herself with an angry persona who snarls, huffs, puffs and screams in frustration during ‘Yuk Foo’, so for anyone who has a bit of pent up anger, it’s your anthem. It’s nail biting and it’s gripping and it’s ultimate carnage. We see a massive transition between ‘Silk which is one of their older tracks to an electric surge that is ‘Yuk Foo’.
Wolf Alice have made a huge comeback, from a mellow to a turbulent return, it excites me to see what else they have in store on their second album due September 26th, ‘Visions Of Life’. I feel like the tracks packed into their next and upcoming album are going to be raw and full of angst.
