A song with a deep set meaning of self destruction by guilty pleasures is teamed filthily with snarling vocals of frontman Jacob Slater.
Though set with harsh understanding, the song is comforting to an extent, acting as almost a reassurance to anyone who grasps its true voice of pain. Aggressive yet calm, disturbed yet tailored. Slater sings the song gritting his teeth, addressing it with inner mastery.
This fresh but still reminiscent trio are kickstarting a UK tour, greeting viewers with their unique sound. Perhaps also a glance over the shoulder to the past, Dead Pretties have undoubtedly help kickstart a punchy and mettlesome attitude to music in the year 2017 with this track.
