Clwb Ifor Bach Gig Previews: Yak & INHEAVEN

13th and 14th October marks the dates Yak and INHEAVEN will be gracing Clwb Ifor Bach. Yak are back on the scene with brand new music and INHEAVEN recently released their self-titled delicious debut album.

Yak: 7:00pm | £10 | 16+

Yak have torn apart Clwb on numerous occasions and it’s safe to say they love the venue and the owners love them. Having signed to Yala Records the band have released their new single ‘All I Need Is Some Sunshine In My Life’. Over a year since ‘Alas Salvation’ was released the London based trio have taken their time to record their second album. The band have played a string of summer festival slots including Truck. A ferocious set packed with heavy guitar riffs. Who said guitar music was dead?

Main support comes from Skinny Girl Diet. On numerous occasions, they’ve been described as London’s most badass scream queens. They’re an unsigned independent British political punk band and come under the riot grrrl band scene.

Local support comes from Welsh band HMS MORRIS. We’ve known them for a while and they are a force within the Welsh music scene. Their album has been nominated for the Welsh Music Prize and this is only the beginning. Make sure you get down for all the bands as it will be a night of pleasurable and tasty guitar rock.

INHEAVEN: 7:00pm | £8 | 16+

INHEAVEN recently released their debut album which has been met with critical acclaim and also lots of love from their fans. It also started off with the release of their single ‘Regeneration’ which blasted them onto the scene and out of space. The song does remind me a lot of ‘I Wanna Be Adored’ which will go down as a classic British single. Cardiff has long waited for INHEAVEN to grace the city and now it’s your chance to see them live.

Support comes from two upcoming bands who are destined to hit high heights.

King Nun last played Clwb back in April when they supported Superfood. The band’s presence on stage matches The Wytches. If you love Grunge and Punk then get down early to catch them.

Bloxx are in the middle of touring with Sundara Karma and the youngsters from West London are taking their own path to success by building up a fan base and getting played on Radio 1. If you’re a fan of Sundara Karma or Wombats and love to feel good then make your way down early to catch them.

Both gigs will go off and we will be there to review and have fun. Catch you in the pits.
