Boy Azooga’s debut single freshens up with new remixes

Boy Azooga’s psych drenched debut single has been uniquely remixed by Total Control’s Mikey Young and MJ from Hookworms. Originally a heavy dream pop atmosphere merging with 70’s style synth pop and funk, the two artists provide very different versions of the great track.

Mikey Young’s remix is a slowed down, stripped back beat driven tune, with subtle progressions and a heavier focus on relaxing synth riffs, while Hookworms remix feels like a gruelling listen on a mind bending psychedelic rollercoaster, (even more than the original) which relies on you to really listen to the track, not one for the casual listener. Overall though, the remixes are vastly different, and stray far from the vibe and atmosphere of the original, allowing the remixes to be their own songs.
