21 year old, Amsterdam based artist Pip Blom has released her music video for “school”, a deep hearted angst ridden tune taken from the recently released 7” paired with “Babies Are a lie”. Ever since her lofi indie sound aired last year, the artist has had 4 singles released in quick succession, gaining thousands of streams online and gaining a fanbase outside of her native Netherlands through American radio stations and BBC Radio One.
Along with the singles, a 3 track self recorded EP followed, titled “Are We There Yet” which showed off Pip Blom’s ability to create catchy melodies and effortlessly capture the attention of her listeners through her unique rough cut charm and lofi soaked atmosphere.
“School” is a distortion heavy, vintage sounding tune that’s been paired with a vintage looking music video, in the same way King Krule’s “Czech One” video looks like it’s been filmed with an old film camera, in other words, it’s gorgeous, the colours are dimmed and soft, and the general atmosphere of the song and video is warming.
The song is available on Itunes and Spotify.
