Adam French Releases His Brand New EP ‘Weightless’

Singer-songwriter Adam French has unveiled his latest EP, ‘Weightless’, much to the joy and delight of his ever growing fan base and it’s already collected high acclaim from both them and the industry giants.

2017 was an important year for French, allowing him to develop himself and his talents as an artist, from playing Boardmasters and Festival No.6 (to name a couple) to supporting Jake Bugg across his fist solo acoustic tour at the end of November last year.

“Weightless is a devastating return, an enthralling piece of signwriting that exemplifies his use of space.” – CLASH

“This new EP is a step up from everything he has been making – it’s amazing” – ROB ADCOCK, BBC INTRODUCING

“He is a very talented guy” – HUW STEPHENS

Self-taught multi-instrumentalist Adam French is a creator of rich songs, full of depth, honesty and a cinematic quality. His brand new EP Weightless produced by Rich Cooper (Mystery Jets, Lucy Rose, Billie Marten, Tom Odell) is a beautiful, intimate collection of exemplary songs…
Be it the raw stripped-back fervour of Weightless, the wisps of gospel-tinged voices that blow through Skin Deep, or the snatches of electronic loops that mingle with the piano chords on My Addiction, Adam is undeniably
captivating.

You might not think on paper that the anguished thrash of New Yorkers The Walkmen’s 2004 single The Rat would lend itself to an eerie acoustic guitar and quivering strings, but to listen to it unfurl on record is breath-taking. The poignant cover strikes a chord with all listeners.

Adam shares; “The Rat sound tracked a lot of my youth, and it’s at least half responsible for me wanting to start writing music and become a recording artist. The Walkmen are immortal and that track holds so many memories for the people that fell in love with it as I did.”

To coincide with the release of his brand new EP, Adam has arranged for two very special and intimate gigs to take place where he’ll no doubt share the emotion and feelings evident within this body of work, they’ll be very special shows and an opportunity to see an upcoming artist in a close environment.
