“Snail Mail may have released my song of the year… and were only in March”- Lindsey Jordan shares her new single ‘Pristine’, listen here

After an incredible debut EP release in 2016 and a whirlwind 2017, Lindsey Jordan, the 18 year old mega talented singer-songwriter has finally announced her debut record and a brand new single named ‘Pristine’.

Her debut record, ‘Lush’ will be released via Matador Records on June 8th and has instantly become my most anticipated record of 2018. With this news came the announcement of the first single from the record.

‘Pristine’ embodies a youthful flare, passionate and heartbreaking vocals and songwriting and a melody which pierces right to the bone. Jordan’s lyrics are expressive and brave. She expresses herself clearly and at such a young age. Once you delve into the lyrical context of the track you unearth complete heartbreak and the hurt of a first love. “And if you do find someone better, I’ll still see you in everything, For always, tomorrow and all the time”. The lyrics transform the song. Their context brings true and raw emotion to the table, and quite frankly, its stunning.

Snail Mail may have just released my song of the year… and we’re only in March. It’s a truly stunning effort and one that reflects heartbreak, love and youth.

Snail Mail is touring the UK in May, and I highly suggest going because its only ten pounds. TEN BLOODY POUNDS. Anyways, here are her tour dates:

  • Oslo Hackney, London – May 15th
  • Brudenell Social Club, Leeds – May 19th
  • Gulliver’s, Manchester – May 20th
  • The Louisiana, Bristol – May 21st
