Nick Ball & The Wrong Crowd: Night & Day Cafe, Manchester mini gig review

Fresh from finishing their mini-tour I caught the band at the first date at The Night & Day Cafe which is situated in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The band features Nick Ball ( Lead), Kieran Owens (base + backing vocals), Lewis Taylor drummer) and Dan Allan (guitarist).

The band and supports competed with their uni BIMM for best Tuesday night gig and, to be honest, I’m glad I decided to go to this. Nick reminded me of Brandon Flowers and Bruno Mars with a swagger performance and charism which charmed the half-filled venue. The whole point of the night was to release their single ‘Paris’ which was of course influenced by a girl. Nick led the performance with his sparkly trousers and glitter-coated shoes. All the pre-nerves the band faced disappeared and the four of them gave it their all and put on a night of fun with smiles all around.

To top off the night they performed their rendition of the famous ‘Proud Mary’ by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
