Swansea quartet String Theory release their latest single ‘17’: a testament to the breathless exhilaration of being on the brink of adulthood and living while you’re young. String Theory, only 18 years old themselves, formed over a mutual love for Radiohead in school and have been giving away bedroom-made demo CDs to fans at gigs ever since. ‘17’, their first professionally recorded track, has the same irreverent grit as the likes of Wolf Alice, punctuated with an attack of drum beats and vocals that feel like a reverberation of the rasping sneer of John Lydon. ‘17’ is demonstrative of a band with undeniable talent and an identity all of their own – even better still, this is only the beginning.
