Roman Lewis caught my attention a couple of years back with a striking trio of tracks “Lighter”, “Relatively Minor” and “Mindless Town”. Still, only 17 he returns with “Midnight In Paris”, the first track from a debut EP “Heartbreak” due in 2019 (with a further track “Rose” set for imminent release too).

The track is accompanied by a video that, like the song, could be a love letter to Paris, with Roman the flaneur alternating between singing in English and French. It’s a mesmerising performance as if Jeff Buckley was channelling Peter Sarstedt’s “Where Did You Go To My Lovely”.

London and Paris though will have to wait for his next live dates though. First, there’s the small matter of a trip stateside this weekend for a choice slot supporting The Wombats in LA, San Diego and San Francisco.
