Normally seen on lead vocals and guitar with Essex Indie Rock trio Jump Stone there’s a very different sound to new song “B E A U T Y”, the latest release from 19-year-old singer and multi-instrumentalist Harry Cash. Out go the guitar riffs and vocals with indie sensibilities in favour of a slightly acid jazz tinged uptempo dance pop beat and a richer, fuller vocal.
Written, recorded and produced by Harry himself the track comes with a stylish video from GEth Films which even as a “first cut” forms a perfect visual companion piece to the song itself. Harry is just a peripheral figure in the video, whose real star is the Essex sun. But it might as well be Ibiza, such is the uplifting, soulful dance vibe to the whole experience.
With some gigs in the pipeline with Jump Stone Harry could nevertheless be seen just as likely popping up solo at a piano in St. Pancras station or busking in his hometown. A highly promising prospect, who will certainly be worth seeking out live whether in solo mode or with his band.
“B E A U T Y” will be released across all media platforms on 23 November (available to pre-order from 16 November).
