Hull-based outfit Bdrmm are a lovely dream pop 5 piece who recently released their brand new single C.U, a seemingly melancholic leap into the shoegaze genre that’s sparked up with a charming yet downhearted indie melody that effortlessly glides over hurt but sparing vocals. The track then takes a turn into a fuzzy explosion of grungy instrumentation before fizzling out really before it’s even started (despite being an almost 5-minute track).
“This is an ode to 2017,” says frontman Ryan Smith about the new single. C.U is an extremely vivid track that entices you with this very obscure emotion that’s hard to detail, it’s eventful but beautifully minimalistic with its structure, with a very woozy atmosphere that bleeds into the instruments.
C.U (released through Permanent Creeps) is available to stream now on most common platforms.
